DECADENCE Filming New Video

June 17, 2009

DECADENCE, the Sweden-based melodic thrash metal quintet fronted by Kitty Saric (a.k.a. Metallic Kitty),has begin filiming a video for one of the songs off the band's upcoming, fourth album.

Commented the group: "It has been a long road to find the right people to help us out, the right song, the right plot, the right everything to finally put it into action.

"DECADENCE cooperates with an organization sponsoring part of the production called Studiefrämjandet. Their own step forward in the engagement to be our sponsors is something we see as the fruit of DECADENCE being in the Studiefrämjandet organization for some years now and many years to come in connection with band activities. This is Studiefrämjandet's pilot project of this kind of music video creation and we are happy to work together with them, help each other out with this music video and having our producer Helena Starenby by our side. Also a special thanks to Fredrik Bergström for his input.

"The song is one of the tracks on our upcoming album and the first filming session has already taken place last Saturday on June 13, 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden.

"We began recording our first scenario in a so-called green screen room (where the background will, of course, look differently in the end!). That felt great and we are really eager to finish off the final scenes and begin preparing the video for release.

"The next scenes are planned to be recorded next week! The video will be released in connection with the release of our upcoming album and it will be a sneaky peek for you all before it's actually out!"

Check out photos from the video shoot at this location. Some of the pictures can be viewed below.

DECADENCE's third album, "3rd Stage of Decay", which was originally released in 2006 through HTI Records, was reissued on August 28, 2008 via Massacre.
